Chennai Campus

Global Development Center in SIPCOT IT Park which comprises of 29 acres land with the seating capacity of 10000 employees. The first phase consists of three software development blocks; a 900 seat dedicated training block, dining facilities, and a welcome center. In total, this phase covers 650,000 square feet with capacity for over 5,000 employees.

Pune Campus

Syntel Pune Global Delivery Center (GDC) is spread over 76 acres on the banks of the Indrayani River. With a current capacity of 12,000, the campus can scale up to accommodate 35,000 associates. The campus is equipped with state of the art training rooms, a Customer Experience Center, Amphitheater, Guest house and a 2 level, multi cuisine cafeteria

Hackathon

Hackathon is a group-based assessment designed to primarily gauge an individual on the following factors:

  • Affective Assessment: Team-player, assertive, copes with pressure, enterprising
  • Cognitive Assessment: Solution-oriented mindset, critical thinker, creative approach, adaptive approach

The process of Hackathon:

  • 1. Immediately after the technical ability test is completed by each individual, the candidates in a room are divided into groups of 2
  • 2. Each group is presented with one coding-based business problem on METTL platform. An environment to code in multiple languages is also present on the platform.
  • 3. Each group has 90 minutes to understand the problem, suggest and discuss solutions, and implement it in the form of a code.

    • Time segmentation of process and deliverables from the group members for each segment:
    • 15 minutes segment- each individual is expected to present her/ his understanding of the problem and approach to solution in a written format within the first 15 minutes slab
    • 45 minutes segment- the group gets together after the first 15 minutes and members present their individual take on the problem, they discuss different approaches and work as a group to create a workable solution- a code; at the end of 45 minutes they are at least expected to present a logic to the problem in a written format
    • 30 minutes segment- the group presents their solution, individual members are probed by the evaluator on various aspects (technical understanding, logical ability)





Super Hackathon:

  • Brief about the Super Hackathon process.
  • Individuals to choose a technology stack.
  • Individuals to choose their usecase.
  • Individuals to complete design and code solution.
  • Shortlisted individual to present his/her solution.
  • Expert Panel selection.
  • Release offer to “Super Specialist”.
  • Time segmentation of Super Hackathon Process:
  • 30 minutes segment- Event Inaguration
  • 9 hours segment- Super Hackathon Event
  • 2 hours segment- Super Hackathon - Presentations
